Microwave Tanghulu in under 5 minutes!

1.Wash and skewer your favourite fresh fruit.
2.In a microwave-safe bowl, mix 2 parts sugar with 1 part water.
3.Microwave in 30-second intervals, checking after each round.
4.Once the syrup turns golden, switch to 15-second intervals until it
reaches a deep amber colour.
5.Dip each fruit skewer into the syrup, coating evenly.
6.Immediately dip into ice-cold water to harden the candy coating.
7.Let it set for a few seconds, then enjoy the crunchy Tanghulu.
Avoid watery fruits — Fruits like watermelon or very ripe berries release too much juice, which prevents the sugar from forming a crisp shell.
Serve same‑day — humidity softens the candy coating.
